I am full professor of computer science at Télécom Paris (part of the Polytechnic Institute of Paris), as a member of the ACES team.
I am co-founder and CSO of Software Heritage, the largest public archive of software source code.

I am a Free Software activist and developer.
I am a member of the Debian project, where I have served as Debian Project Leader for 3 terms (2010-2013).
I am also a former board director of the Open Source Initiative.
I am a recipient of the 2015 O'Reilly Open Source Award and of the 2022 Google Award for Inclusion Research.
